Job Summary
IMW is currently looking for a Fabricator who can work as part of the Production team. The successful candidate will have a proven commitment to producing quality work in an efficient manner, be a team player, and perform the functions of the position in accordance with IMW documented procedures and instructions.

The Opportunity
This fulltime, permanent position will be best suited for someone with welding and fabricating experience, preferably in a mid-sized manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be a person with 3-5 years manufacturing experience within a fast paced environment.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to feel, handle or grasp, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear on a frequent basis. The employee must regulary lift and or move up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision capabilities will be required including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for welding and fabricating as required
- Responsible for burning steel
- Ensure quality of work with an eye for detail
- Implement effective time management skills
- Ensure time is properly tracked and allocated for each job for costing purposes, by scanning in and out of the jobs through Visual.
- Maintain a safe work environment within the department and on each job
- Responsible to identify areas for improvement, expedite and gain production efficiencies and cost reductions and utilize non-conformance forms
- Be punctual and reliable to attend work for a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Perform work in accordance with IMW documented policies and ISO standards
- Complete all applicable quality records
Required Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blue prints
- Ability to do layouts
- Working knowledge of tools and equipment, mechanical devices used for assemblies
- Very good mechanical skills with 3-5 years experience.
- Certified Journeyman
- High school education or equivalent aptitude
- Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure.
